The Best in Modern American Muscle Cars

What makes a quality American muscle car today? How about an affordable classic muscle car which keeps on giving you goosebumps?

Some of these affordable yet modern will give car fans goosebumps when they hit the gas 0-60 in 4 seconds! The car world may be dominated by foreign companies, and some of these are of the best quality, but most affordable modern come from the states. Why? We love them. We buy them.

There are some powerful and affordable American cars out there, especially modern . But what makes these 1) affordable for the guy with a mortgage and 2) is loud and scary fast too?

Before we go there, what do modern need to be considered important? of quality should have some “amp” to them, roar loud like the corvette, and be fast, going from 0-60 in no time.

It used to be were V-8 engines with nice paintjobs. You put a big engine in a small car. It’s evolved. Now they’re even more affordable, go from 0-60 even faster, and make a heck of a lot of noise.

The Cadillac CTS-V is a highly rated modern American muscle car, as are the Chryster 300 Hemi and the Pontiac GTO. Many consider the Pontiac GTO to be the first muscle car, and therefore the first American muscle car. It’s an interesting story; a designer wanted to drive something home from work in something faster; he thought of putting a bigger engine in a car. And we have our classic muscle car.

In terms of the most affordable , there are still some options if you want to race a bit over the speed limit. These three have varying price ranges, but are high value for what you get.

Let’s consider the Cadillac CTS-V. The pros here are the modern ’ incredible power. It’s got a supercharged 6.2 V8 engine, with some incredible horsepower numbers pushing 550. And you can go 0-60 in 4.3. The only clear con to this modern American muscle, if you could call it a con, is the basic seats and the price tag, nw at $60,000.

Next on the list is the most expensive, the Cadillac CTS-V. The pros here are the incredible power. It’s got a supercharged 6.2 V8 engine, with horsepower numbers pushing 550, and you can go 0-60 in 4.3. The only clear con to this modern American muscle car is the price; since this line is still out, you pay about $60,000.

The Chrysler 300 Hemi is second on horsepower to the Cadillac, but nice look with a big grille and lots of noise. She clocks in around 5 to 5.5 in 0-60 with her 340+ horsepower. The big saver for this vehicle is new models are less than $25,000. For value for money, you’ve got a winner.

You’ve seen the prices of modern . You might cross out the Cadillac CTS-V, but it’s likely the best car here. For history, the GTO might get it. For sheer power, the winner is the Cadillac CTS. For a combination of price and power, you’ve got the Chrysler 300 Hemi. It’s almost a draw. For modern , with the price and power just right, the Chrysler 300 Hemi is the winner.

  3. I would say she's opposing feminism partly for the right reasons and partly for the wrong reasons.

Early feminism had it right – they were just promoting equality – part of which meant no social pressures expecting women to be traditional housewives (or at least nothing somehow drawing unnecessary ties between domesticism and sex). A couple of these comments seem a tad enchanted with a world where a woman is commended for "f*ck[ing] her man after mak[ing] him dinner," and stigmatized for not doing so.

Where she has it right (and, as one poster put it, where she's genuinely courageous) is speaking from a visible position against the misandry (or "man-hate") that modern political feminism has so broadly embraced – and citing it as a reason for rejecting the label.

As for her as a person? A talentless hack, perhaps (it's interesting how quickly the fangs sink into another woman as soon as she blasphemes against feminism – how quickly the rhetoric about standing for all women turns into "stone the heretic"). But what she stands for, that even misandrists may do well to pay heed to, is the mindset of the young. In particular, the "resistance is futile" feminists, the "yeah, maybe we're not fair to men, but what're you gonna do about it? We're here to stay" feminists, might check their foundations, as the thoughts of young pop stars don't reflect the minds of the old and fading, but the young and upcoming.
