I have had a oil filter housing gasket fail. It was cheaper than $100 bucks to fix, and is normal and should be expected in a car that age.
I have also had the coolant hose under the intake manifold bust, but that is also normal for a car that age. that was a little pricey; $2 for the hose and 400 bucks labor. And that's the only problems I ever had with this car, and I drive it a lot.
I take care of it and maintain it meticulously. I use synthetic oil and Lucas oil additive. the oil change typically will last 6 months, but I change it anyway at 4 to 5 months.
I would depend on that car to save my life. It is the best mode of transportation around. I will recommend that car to anyone.
General comments?
I get decent gas mileage for a V8. It can run on regular unleaded, but I use supreme because I'm particular.
It has a lot of power.
It is very dependable; on a scale from one to a ten, I'd give it a ten.
It is very comfortable. I converted my air suspension to shocks with a kit I bought at O'Reillys Auto Parts.
It is the best car I have ever owned. I am a car collector, and this car has made me a Ford / Lincoln collector.
Handling is great. It has a twenty gallon fuel supply in the rear of the car. I just wish it was twenty five gallons. It is a wonderful car for long trips.

Putting premium gas in a car that was designed to use regular is unwise, not only financially, but also for the environment — burning premium gas increases exhaust emissions.

I own a 97 Town Car with 140,000 miles, and use premium unleaded. the car runs better and gets better mileage than it would with regular. Coming from a mechanic's point of view, any car with a V8 over 100k should use premium; it helps keep the combustion chambers nice and clean.

Pete i want to support? you.
You can file a police report.
chances are not a whole lot will happen. the fact that it was all cash and an x box was involved makes it a crazy deal to begin with.
If you finally do manage to bring the guy into small claims court for $367 you'll have spent more than that on fees and other charges along the way.
anyway, it's worth filing a report with anyone who will listen. police, better business bureau, local consumer group. IF they claim to be certified by any automotive organizations- AAA, ASE etc. report them to those groups and maybe get their certifications pulled.
good luck.
next time use a credit card, get written estimates, typed repair orders, legible reciepts.
OMG i love the clothes! Nice, i hope they ship to Denmark! Thanks cat, you are so nice
Have? a good day.
Trouble is the Government looks after your investment on your behalf.
