NHTSA confirms 60+ complaints about repaired Toyotas, LaHood may mandate override systems

The Administration (NHTSA) in the US has received more than 60 complaints about unintended acceleration in vehicles after they have been serviced as a part of their recalls.

The NHTSA’s David Strickland said the administration had begun to take action concerning the complaints.

  1. Mean time in Grass Valley those in City Hall sit back and do nothing to address the long empty, blighted former Weaver Auto site.

    In Nevada City we see leadership on their City Council to reach out to the community to work together.

    In Grass Valley we have a Mayor that hasn't little if anything to engusge th ecommunity to work on community issues.

    Exit question: Will a soon to be new Mayor and a new City Council member do what the current Mayor has failed to do… that being provide leadership and action?

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is currently investigating the 2005 and 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class for a wiring harness issue that could prevent the airbags from deploying in a collision. There are about 100,000 vehicles that could be affected if a recall notice is issued, and NHTSA says that it's received four complains of failures of the wiring harness, though there have been no reported injuries as a result of the issue.
